Chronicle Pavilion at Concord
Nestled in the foothills of Mount Diablo, the Chronicle Pavilion at Concord is an entertainment showplace that has been enjoyed by millions. Since first opening in 1975, the Pavilion has played a key role in the performing arts of the San Francisco Bay Area. The impressive list of performers that have graced the Pavilion stage over the years continues to grow and includes such notables as Miles Davis, Jerry Garcia, Prince, Bob Dylan, the London Symphony Orchestra, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Tina Turner, Garth Brooks, Santana and countless others. Entering its third decade back in 1996, the Pavilion looked toward the future by initiating a complete redesign and update of the existing facility. While the spirit and intimacy of the original Pavilion design remains, the reconfiguration provided the extra seating (capacity 12,500), enlarged stage and technical support required to host today's major entertainment events.

Located 28 miles northeast of San Francisco in the heart of Contra Costa County, the Chronicle Pavilion at Concord has built a national reputation within the performing arts industry for combining commercial success with public service. Of the approximately 50 events per season that are held at the Pavilion, nearly one quarter are free or specially priced tickets to support community service in the performing arts.

The Fillmore Auditorium
Bill Graham produced his first concert at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco on December 14, 1965, featuring the Jefferson Airplane, Great Society, Mystery Trend, and the Grateful Dead. Since then, this San Francisco venue has acquired legendary status and an international reputation for presenting the world's greatest musicians in a most unique setting. Italian architecture, crystal chandeliers, velvet curtains, combined with the best in staging, sound, and lights provide a unique experience for the artist and the audience. The upstairs lounge displays a complete series of Bill Graham's famous sixties rock posters and gives the venue an additional sense of its place in popular music history. The artists who have played this hall represent a Who's Who of musical excitement ranging from Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, the Yardbirds, Cream, the Who, and the Doors to Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Ornette Coleman, Santana, Ziggy Marley, and Muddy Waters, to current notables such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane's Addiction. The Fillmore has been the sight of numerous network and cable television shows, and has served as a location for feature films. Eric Clapton chose to play three shows at the venue and film them.
