Wise Monkey Orchestra's unique sound encompasses styles from jazz, funk, Latin, disco and reggae, all wrapped into a style of music called Kinetic Soul. Headed up by the sultry female vocalist and lyricist, Alley, as well as conga master and back up vocalist Tim Pacheco, the band features blazing rhythms and a phenomenal horn section.

Wise Monkey Orchestra has been performing shows to thousands of audiences throughout the western United States. The Wise Monkey sound was created in Tempe, Arizona in 1990 where they earned a cult-like following. In 1994 they moved their high energy sound to San Diego, California where they continue to travel; performing over 200 hundred shows a year.

WMO has released four CD's, Time Capsule, Robot Reality, It's Alive and their new release Make Believe. In 1991 WMO won Best of Phoenix in the NewTimes. Robot Reality was nominated by SLAMM Magazine as best local album in San Diego in 1995. WMO has been featured in publications around the country such as SLAMM, City Life and Relix. Wise Monkey is also a proud member of the Homegrown Music Network, which features the best of the unsigned and independent musical talent in the country.

WMO has worked with such names as Maceo Parker, Fishbone, The Mighty Mighty Bostones, Merl Saunders, The Gap Band, Eek-A-Mouse, The Samples, Gin Blossoms, Pharcyde, Bad Brains, The Meat Puppets, Ohio Players, The Richie Havens Band and the Jerry Garcia Band. WMO was involved with the 1998 NFL Players Party for the Super Bowl in San Diego and the 1998 Fiesta Bowl Block Party held in Tempe, AZ.
