Their mailing list continues to grow steadily with over 3,000 names keeping "the faithful following" up to date and filling shows. In 1997 and 1998 Vinyl received the Pacific Sun Reader's Poll Award for "Best Local Band". Their second recording, Live at Sweetwater, is proving to be the perfect compliment to 1997's self-titled debut. With the booking assistance of the Billions Corporation, Vinyl has enjoyed immediate success touring Colorado, Utah, Oregon and Washington, and this spring will begin their push eastward. This trip will be highlighted by an appearance during the New Orleans Jazz Festival at the House of Blues with the Meters. Vinyl plans to begin working on a new album soon and will continue bringing their unique live experience to as many people as possible. |
